Feeling Funny at ShakesCon: Beowulf Returns!

I know I'm a week behind, but I had to say what a pleasure it was remounting Beowulf: A Comedy? at the 2017 New York Shakespeare Convention! With only four rehearsals, Ross Hamman did a brilliant job jumping in as our new Beowulf. And on the big day, we couldn't have asked for a more supportive audience: game for anything and eager to play with us all the way through!

For those who have never heard of #ShakesCon, it an exciting annual event for Shakespeare companies, classical actors and Bard enthusiasts in the city to connect over interesting workshops and fun performances. It was founded by Caitlin White and Nat Angstrom, artistic directors of Bottoms Dream, and I had the pleasure of joining them and the rest of the team when we reprised some of the music from our winter production of The Bride. Still curious?
